- Why Christ is real compared to other prophets
- Humans eventually higher than angels in the new Earth
- Christ had to come down and be born and grow as a man

Chapter 6
- Keep maturing on the word, do not get stuck relearning the same ideas
- Baptism is sign of internal cleansing
- verses 4-6, for those who found God and then fall away, it is impossible to be brought back to repentance

- Good trees can only bear good fruit
- verse 6:10, God is just and remembers our work
- Promise to Abraham with Jesus Christ coming to fulfill the promise
- Melchizedek received 1/10 from Abraham, carried on until Levi’s generation also had tithe
- Verse 11-12, Jesus is new high priest and his new Covenant is the new law
- verses 14-16, Christ not of Levi but of Judah, he is another like Melchizedek, not following regulations
- 6:18, old rules are weak
- verse 23-26, Jesus is always there, no more new high priests

Chapter 9
- Explaining old covenant was Earthly and how the new covenant is better
- verse 5, atonement cover where they have a seat and did sacrifices and performed atonement
- verse 9 old way is not enough to atone consciousness, not until the new order comes, does not cleanse you
- Until Christ brought the covenant
- Christ’s blood clears our minds, not blood of goats and bulls, and obtained eternal redemption
- Jesus released us from slavery of sin
- verses 16-21, explained why new covenant not started yet, if was in Jesus will, not turn on until he dies
- perfect animal put to death to take our place, blood means life
- 9:23 refers to 8:5
- Jesus cleansed the copy and real tabernacle once and for all, no more annual meeting
- Chapters 10
- old laws not enough to cleanse, have to repent every year, a reminder of sin
- Since blood of animals not enough to take away every sin, Jesus came and did a permanent sacrifice and sins removed forever
- verses 9-10, contrast to verses 1-8
- verses 11-18 showing priests as temporary, and Jesus is forever with the new Covenant
- verses 22-25, why we are Christians push each other to grow and righteous by Jesus, enduring his presence
- if Christians, even knowing Christ, continue to sin, there will be judgment of raging fire
- Commit offense against Christ and Holy Spirit is unholy
- Remember how we suffered as new Christians and face persecution and renew confidence
- Those who shrink are destroyed

Chapter 11
- verse 6, can’t please god without faith, no discussion!
- verses 13-16, be patient for the fruits of your labor
Chapter 12
- We know those in old testament who witnessed for God
- verses 3-9, fight sin and be well disciplined
- verse 16, do not be like Esau
- verse 18-24, fear of mount Sinai, contrast to joy at mount Zion
- Christ blood > innocent blood
- Don’t be shaken in faith, have the solid foundation of God’s Kingdom
- verse 29 is not about the song!
Chapter 13
- treat those in prison fairly
- verse 4 on marriage, marriage should be honoured and the marriage bed kept pure
- verse 5, keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have
- verse 6, you have to mean it!
- verse 7, remember the leaders who taught you the word and imitate their faith
- Don’t get caught up in old laws, but of God’s grace
- verses 13-14, outreach message
- verse 15, offer God a sacrifice of praise, fruit of lips confess his name
